Expert nutrition counselling to support your health goals.
My name is Julie, and I have been a Registered Dietitian for 25 years. During that time, I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings, including acute care, rehabilitation, mental health, and primary care. For the past 19 years, I have been part of a Family Health Team, where I use a Health At Every Size® (HAES®), weight-inclusive approach when counselling patients on nutrition and lifestyle.
I also have a part-time private practice where I work with clients across Toronto, throughout Ontario, and in several other provinces.
My approach is evidence-based, practical, and individualized. Rather than focusing on weight, I work with clients to develop sustainable eating habits that support their health, fit their lifestyle, and align with their personal goals. Whether you're managing a medical condition, navigating a new diagnosis, or simply looking for reliable nutrition guidance, we'll work together to find strategies that are realistic and enjoyable.
I have a special interest in gastrointestinal health, including IBS, IBD, diverticular disease, constipation, and the Low FODMAP diet. I also provide nutrition counselling for perimenopause and menopause, cardiovascular health, diabetes and prediabetes, kidney disease, healthy aging, and general healthy eating. My goal is to help you feel your best while making nutrition feel less overwhelming and more achievable.
Outside of work, you'll usually find me hanging out with my completely adorbs Siamese or exploring Toronto's food and beer scene. I'm also a Certified Beer Sommelier, so I'm always up for discovering a great beer and the perfect food pairing.
