I can help! My name is Julie and I have been a Registered Dietitian for 18 years. In that time I have worked in many areas, including acute care, rehab and mental health. For the past 12 years I have been working at a family health team where I use a Health At Every Size®  (HAES®) approach when counselling patients on their eating habits and food choices. I also have a part-time private practice where I see clients who are not patients of the family health team. My approach focuses on Intuitive Eating, finding pleasure in movement and fostering a positive body image. I will help you tune into your body to eat mindfully, paying attention to taste and listening to your internal cues of hunger and fullness, while eating a balanced diet so you can feel your best, both physically and mentally. I also have a strong background in diabetes, cardiovascular health, binge eating disorder and gastrointestinal disorders.
